Tiger Optics Launches Prismatic Multi-species CRDS Analyzer
The Prismatic Provides Ultra-Low Level Simultaneous Detection of Multiple Species for Gas Analysis with Patented CW-CRDS Technology
WARRINGTON, PA--(Marketwire - July 14, 2009) - Tiger Optics, a leading manufacturer of laser-based trace gas analyzers, today announced at SEMICON West 2009 the launch of its flagship product for multi-species applications, the Prismatic™.
Now, up to 16 different species can be measured simultaneously with one device. Users select the species of interest from Tiger’s sizable detections list. Brewster’s angle prism retro-reflectors provide total internal reflectance broad enough to measure multiple species down to parts-per-billion with a single Ring-Down cell. Joining the award-winning line of Tiger Optics analyzers, the Prismatic development was initially funded by the National Science Foundation and represents over a decade of technical effort.
A new dimension of powerful Continuous Wave Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy (CW-CRDS)., the Prismatic affords all the cherished features of CRDS – absolute accuracy, speed of response, very low maintenance, freedom from calibration, and wide dynamic range, with no ambient effects.
The debut Prismatic system measures down to ppb levels of moisture, methane, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide gases, contaminants plaguing gas manufacturers and users alike. The system’s built-in reference cells and automated tune function prevent interference and drift, without external calibration, consumables or routine maintenance. A non-contact measuring technique, CW CRDS is suitable for bulk gases, clean dry air (CDA), corrosives, fluorocarbons, and other specialty gases, such as nitric oxide, nitrogen flouride, and sulfur hexaflouride.
"This is the next milestone for Cavity Ring-down, taking on the wider market for GCs, FT-IRs and other broadband analyzers," says Lisa Bergson, CEO of Tiger Optics. "Initially, we’re targeting process gas analysis, but we’re already seeing demand for cleanroom monitoring, petrochemicals, and more.”
Tiger Optics ensures the quality of the Prismatic line and all of its analyzers through its International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2000 certification for over two years running.
