You will work with a leading, internationally recognized R&D team, developing advanced spectroscopic instrumentation that expands performance capabilities well beyond conventional techniques. Tiger's laser-based instruments and electro-optical components serve an array of markets, including high-purity gases, semiconductor manufacturing, environmental monitoring, and national standards laboratories—and more.
You will have the opportunity – though not the requirement – to travel the globe, solving challenges for customers, attending scientific conferences, and seeing trade exhibitions. At the same time, you will gain hands-on experience, working with engineering, manufacturing, and marketing to bring new products to market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Expand the Tiger Optics spectroscopic portfolio, enabling measurement of new species and gas matrices
Provide general support and leadership for a wide variety of activities related to on-going existing product improvement and new product development efforts in R&D
Understanding of spectroscopic principles and physical properties of gasses
Strong analytic skills and the ability to find practical solutions to open-ended R&D questions
Work independently and coordinate research efforts with a multi-disciplinary team
Experience with gas-handling systems is a bonus
Hands-on experimentalist with good theoretical grounding; attention to details; multi-tasking capability.
Excellent writing, presentation, and technical communications skills
Qualifications: Advanced Degree in Chemistry, Physics, or related field.
