You are invited to join our leading, internationally recognized technical team at Tiger Optics, a profitable, rapidly growing manufacturer based in Bucks County. As a Research Technician, you will help to develop instrumentation that expands performance capabilities well beyond conventional techniques. Tiger’s laser-based instruments serve an array of markets, including environmental monitoring of greenhouse gases, semiconductor fabs, and national standards laboratories-and more. You will gain hands-on experience, working with engineering, manufacturing, and marketing to bring our award-winning new products to market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide general support for a wide variety of activities related to on-going new Product Development efforts in R&D
Perform optical alignment of cavity ring-down spectrometers
Data analysis and interpretation
General knowledge of chemical and physical properties of gases
Familiarity with gas-handling techniques
Ability to use common lab equipment, e.g., oscilloscope, power meter, vacuum pump
Experience with basic optics and optical alignment is a plus
Hands-on experimentalist; attention to details; multi-tasking capability.
Computer literacy; familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Excellent writing and communications skills
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, or Physics, or related field.
